Michael Keyes
Michael Keyes (21 March 1886 – 8 September 1959) was an Irish Labour Party politician and trade unionist. Born on 21 March 1886 in Limerick city, he worked as a clerk on the Waterford–Limerick railway line and later served as an apprentice carpenter for the Great Southern and Western Railway. Keyes was an active member of the National Union of Railwaymen and served as the chairman of the Limerick shopmens' branch from 1915 to 1926. He played a significant role in the Irish Trades Union Congress, serving as its president in 1943. Keyes represented the Congress at the World Federation of Trade Unions in London in February 1945. He was also a member of Dáil Éireann.
