Michael Lewis
Michael Monroe Lewis (born October 15, 1960) is an American author and financial journalist. He has been a contributing editor to Vanity Fair since 2009, focusing on business, finance, and economics. Lewis gained recognition for his nonfiction work, particularly his coverage of financial crises and behavioral finance. He was born in New Orleans and graduated from Princeton University with a degree in art history. After attending the London School of Economics, he worked on Wall Street as a bond salesman at Salomon Brothers. This experience inspired his first book, 'Liar's Poker' (1989). Lewis is best known for his books 'Moneyball: The Art of Winning an Unfair Game' (2003), which was adapted into a film, 'The Blind Side: Evolution of a Game' (2006), also adapted into a film, and 'The Big Short: Inside the Doomsday Machine' (2010).
