Michael Shuman

Michael Jay Shuman (born August 20, 1985), also known as Mikey Shoes, is an American musician and songwriter. He is best known as the bassist of the rock band Queens of the Stone Age. Shuman is also a member of the band Mini Mansions, where he sings and plays various instruments. Prior to his time with Queens of the Stone Age, Shuman co-founded and co-fronted the bands Wires on Fire and Jubilee. He has also pursued a solo project under the moniker GLU. Shuman has a diverse educational background, having graduated from Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles, California, and attended multiple schools in California including Campbell Hall High School, Portola Middle School, and Lanai Road Elementary School.
