Michael Shure (born April 18, 1966) is an American politician and former national correspondent for Nexstar Media Group's national newscast on NewsNation. He has also worked as the Senior National Correspondent and Anchor for i24NEWS and Cheddar News, as well as being an original member and regular host on The Young Turks. Shure has hosted various political commentary programs such as Current TV's The War Room with Michael Shure and has served as Chief Political Correspondent for Al Jazeera America. In addition to his work in journalism, Shure has made occasional appearances as an actor. On March 11, 2022, Shure announced his candidacy for the CA-37 Congressional seat. He was born in New York City and attended Trinity School and the University of Virginia.
