Michael St. Gerard Biography
Michael St. Gerard (born January 22, 1961) is an American former actor. He began his career by appearing in Japanese commercials and off-Broadway shows before making his debut in the 1987 film Senior Week. St. Gerard gained recognition for his role as Link in John Waters's Hairspray (1988). He then portrayed Elvis Presley in the films Heart of Dixie and Great Balls of Fire! in 1989, which led to his casting as young Elvis in the 1990 TV series Elvis. St. Gerard also appeared as Elvis's mirror image in a 1993 episode of Quantum Leap. Later, he had a stint as an acting teacher in Beverly Hills, 90210 and appeared in several direct-to-video films before retiring from acting in 1994 at the age of 33 to focus on other pursuits.
