Michael Warner Biography
Michael David Warner (born September 9, 1958) is an American literary critic and social theorist. He currently holds the position of Seymour H. Knox Professor of English Literature and American Studies at Yale University. Warner is widely known for his writings on literature and social issues, and has authored several influential books including Publics and Counterpublics, The Trouble with Normal: Sex, Politics, and the Ethics of Queer Life, and Fear of a Queer Planet. In addition to his academic work, Warner also contributes to renowned publications such as Artforum, The Nation, The Advocate, and The Village Voice. He holds two Master of Arts degrees from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and Johns Hopkins University, and a Doctor of Philosophy degree in English from Johns Hopkins University.
