Michelle Denise Bernard is an American journalist, political analyst, lawyer, author, and President and CEO of the Bernard Center For Women, Politics & Public Policy. Born on July 30, 1963, in Washington, D.C., Bernard graduated from Howard University with a B.A. in philosophy and a minor in political science. She also holds a Juris Doctor degree from Georgetown University Law Center. Bernard has had an accomplished career, serving as a partner at the lobbyist and law firm Patton Boggs and as the chair for the District of Columbia's Redevelopment Land Agency. She is a frequent political and legal analyst for various media outlets, including MSNBC, Al Jazeera, CNN, NPR, and The McLaughlin Group. Bernard is also a columnist for Roll Call and a contributor for 'The Seventy-Four', The Root, and The Washington Post's 'She the People'.
