Michelle Roberts Biography
Michelle Hopkins Roberts, born on 29 February 1960 in Perth, Western Australia, is an Australian politician and the current Speaker of the Western Australian Legislative Assembly. She has been a member of the Labor Party and the Legislative Assembly since 1994. From 2001 to 2008, Roberts served as a minister in the governments of Geoff Gallop and Alan Carpenter. Prior to entering politics, she worked as a high school teacher, civil servant, and local government councillor. Roberts holds a Bachelor of Arts degree and a diploma in education from the University of Western Australia. She completed her secondary education at Mercedes College.
