Mike Fries

Mike Fries is the Chief Executive Officer and Vice Chairman of Liberty Global, an international television and broadband company. He was a founding member of the management team that launched the Company’s international expansion. Fries grew up in Los Angeles, California, and is the son of film and television producer Charles Fries. He attended Wesleyan University for his B.A. and earned his M.B.A. degree from Columbia Business School. Fries started his career as an investment banker and joined United International Holdings in 1990. He became President and CEO of UnitedGlobalCom Inc. in 2004, which later merged with Liberty Media International in 2005, forming Liberty Global. Fries has been President and CEO of Liberty Global since June 2005.
