Mike Lane Biography
Mike Lane (January 6, 1933 – June 1, 2015) was an American actor and professional wrestler. Standing at a height of 6'8" (2.03 m) and weighing 275 lbs (125 kg), Lane initially worked in the King Bros. Circus boxing and wrestling tents. He wrestled professionally as "Tarzan Mike" from 1952 to 1959. Lane's notable film appearance was in The Harder They Fall, where he received training in both dramatic acting and boxing to play the role of Toro Moreno, a boxer based on Primo Carnera. On television, Lane appeared in various shows, including a memorable role as a country bumpkin in Maverick and as Frank N. Stein in Monster Squad (1976).
