    Mike Royce Biography
    Mike Royce (born 1964) is an American screenwriter and television producer. He grew up in Syracuse, New York and graduated from Jamesville-Dewitt High School in 1982. Royce attended film school at Ithaca College, earning his degree in 1986. Prior to his career in television, Royce was a stand-up comedian in New York City from 1988 to 1999, performing on shows like The Maury Povich Show, Viva Variety, and Spin City. In 1997, he began his writing career on MTV's Apartment 2F. Royce joined the writing staff of Everybody Loves Raymond in 1999 and eventually became an executive producer for the last two seasons. He went on to executive produce and showrun HBO's Lucky Louie. Royce also co-created the series Men of a Certain Age with Ray Romano in 2009.
