Misha Glenny
Misha Glenny, born Michael V. E. Glenny on April 25, 1958, is a British journalist and broadcaster known for his expertise in southeast Europe, global organised crime, and cybersecurity. He is multilingual and has written and produced the BBC Radio 4 series 'How to Invent a Country'. Glenny was born in Kensington, London, and is the son of Juliet Mary Crum and Michael Glenny, a Russian studies academic. He received his education at Magdalen College School in Oxford, the University of Bristol, and Prague's Charles University. Glenny served as the Central Europe correspondent for The Guardian and later the BBC, with a special focus on reporting on the Yugoslav Wars in the 1990s. He has authored three books on Central and Eastern Europe. Glenny's work inspired the popular TV series 'McMafia'.
