Molly McGlynn is a Canadian film and television director and screenwriter. She gained recognition for her first feature film, Mary Goes Round, which earned her the Jay Scott Prize from the Toronto Film Critics Association. Originally from Montreal, Quebec, McGlynn moved to New Jersey at a young age and later returned to Canada for her education. She studied film at Queen’s University in Kingston, Ontario and television writing and production at Humber College in Toronto. McGlynn started her career directing short films, such as Office Daydreams, I Am Not a Weird Person, Shoes, Given Your History, and 3-Way (Not Calling), earning critical acclaim and nominations. She made her directorial debut in feature films with Mary Goes Round.
