    Moritz Jahn (27 March 1884 - 19 January 1979) was a German novelist, poet, and educator. Born in Lilienthal, Lower Saxony, Jahn was known for his works of poetry, including ballads, lyrics, and narratives. He wrote notable books such as 'Frangula' and 'Lucifer', showcasing his talent for storytelling. Jahn began his career as a Volksschule teacher and later studied German studies and art history. During World War II, he served as a principal in Geismar and continued his writing endeavors after being pensioned in 1944. While Jahn was a member of the Nazi Party between 1933 and 1935, his literary contributions spanned from the 1920s to 1950s.
