Nadia Nadarajah

Nadia Nadarajah is a deaf British actress known for her work in theater and film. She identifies as an English South Asian woman with dark skin and utilizes British Sign Language. Nadarajah attended Mary Hare Grammar School before moving to Australia, where she became involved with the SAAD (South-Australian Association of the Deaf) and campaigned on various issues. Prior to pursuing acting, she worked as a teacher for the Deaf. Nadarajah underwent training at the International Visual Theatre in Paris, specializing in physical and bilingual acting. She has appeared in productions by Deafinitely Theatre, including Shakespearean plays like Love's Labour's Lost and A Midsummer Night's Dream, as well as other plays such as Grounded. Notable credits also include Can I start again Please, Tanika's Journey, and A Christmas Carol. Nadarajah is multilingual in five sign languages, including British, French, Australian, American, and French Creole.
