Nandita Chandra Biography
Nandita Chandra is an award-winning actress and model known for her work on the international stage and in independent films. She is also a renowned children's theatre director and former television anchor for Channel V India. Chandra made history as the first Indian woman accepted into the Acting program (MFA) at the Actors Studio Drama School in New York. In 2003, she received critical acclaim for her performance in the play Edible Women and Anastasia. Chandra has been honored by Himachal Pradesh C.M. Hon Pratibha Singh for her contributions to theatre and performing arts in India. Currently residing in New York, she is a company member of the Off Broadway Irish Repertory Theatre and has appeared in various productions, including The Homebase Project and a Yashraj films production with Shahid Kapoor.
