Natalie Gulbis

Natalie Gulbis is an American professional golfer who plays on the U.S.-based LPGA Tour. She was born on January 7, 1983, in Sacramento, California, and has Latvian ancestry. Gulbis began playing golf at the age of four and won her first tournament at seven. By the age of ten, she was already breaking par. In 1997, at the age of 14, Gulbis played in her first LPGA Tour event as an amateur. She was the top player on the boys' golf team at Granite Bay High School and graduated at 16. Gulbis received a golf scholarship to the University of Arizona and turned professional in July 2001 at the age of 18. She earned her card for the 2002 season by finishing tied for third at the LPGA Final Qualifying Tournament.
