Nathalie Dupree

Nathalie Dupree (born December 23, 1939, in New Jersey) is an author, chef, and cooking show host known for her expertise in American Southern cuisine. She gained popularity as the first woman since Julia Child to host over one hundred cooking episodes on public television. Dupree has hosted a total of nine cooking series, starting with 'New Southern Cooking with Nathalie Dupree' and has appeared on more than 300 national and international cooking shows. She has authored 14 cookbooks, selling nearly a million copies, and has made regular appearances on shows like Today and Good Morning America. Dupree's contributions to Southern cuisine have earned her multiple accolades, including four James Beard Awards and the title of 'Grande Dame of Les Dames d'Escoffier'. She has also made a significant impact on the restaurant industry by pioneering the New Southern Cooking movement.
