Neal Beidleman

Neal Beidleman is a well-known mountaineer and climbing guide, famous for his survival during the tragic 1996 Mount Everest disaster. He has shared his experiences in numerous public talks, focusing on decision-making and team management in extreme conditions. Beidleman's remarkable story has been featured on U.S. television news show Nightline and PBS's Frontline, highlighting his critical decisions that likely saved lives on the treacherous Kangshung Face. In 2011, he returned to Mount Everest and successfully reached the summit. Beidleman also conquered the peak in 2018 alongside Adrian Ballinger. Beyond his mountaineering achievements, he got engaged to his wife Amy Beidleman in 1994.
