Nicholas Elliott
John Nicholas Rede Elliott (15 November 1916 – 13 April 1994) was a British MI6 intelligence officer. He is known for his involvement in significant events such as the Lionel Crabb affair in the 1950s and the flight of double agent Kim Philby to Moscow in 1963. Born in London, Elliott's career in secret intelligence began when Sir Hugh Sinclair, Head of MI6, offered him a job after taking a liking to him during a visit to The Hague. Elliott married Elizabeth Holberton in 1943 and they had a son and a daughter, Claudia. Elliott served as Honorary Attache at the British Embassy in The Hague from 1938 to 1940.
