Nicholas Richardson

Nicholas James Richardson is a British Classical scholar and former Warden of Greyfriars, Oxford. He was educated at Magdalen College, Oxford, where he earned first-class honors in Literae Humaniores and completed his BPhil and DPhil. Richardson's scholarly contributions include being a student of ancient historian G.E.M. de Ste Croix and contributing to his festschrift entitled 'Crux.' He held various academic positions, including Lecturer at Pembroke and Trinity, and Fellow and Tutor in Classics of Merton. Richardson served as Chairman of the University-wide Tutors for Graduates Committee and Governor of Plater College. He retired in 2007 and is now an Emeritus Fellow of Merton. Richardson is also a Fellow of the Society of Antiquaries.
