Nick Reynolds
Nick Reynolds (July 27, 1933 – October 1, 2008) was an American folk musician and recording artist. He was one of the founding members of The Kingston Trio, a folk group that gained international fame in the late 1950s and early 1960s. Reynolds was born in San Diego and grew up in Coronado, California. As a child, he developed a love for tennis, skin-diving, and singing with his family. His father, a Navy captain, taught him to play the guitar and ukulele. Reynolds later attended Menlo College, where he met Bob Shane and started playing music together. Their performances with Shane's guitar and Reynolds' bongos became popular at local fraternity gatherings.
