Nicole Powell

Nicole Kristen Powell (born June 22, 1982) is an American basketball coach and former player. She is currently the head women's basketball coach at the University of California, Riverside. Powell had a successful collegiate career at Stanford University and went on to have an 11-year career in the Women's National Basketball Association (WNBA), notably with the Sacramento Monarchs, where she was an All-Star and won a WNBA Championship. She also played professionally overseas for Fenerbahçe Istanbul. Prior to her coaching career, Powell served on the coaching staffs at Gonzaga, Oregon, and Grand Canyon. Powell, originally from Sierra Vista, Arizona, was a highly regarded high school player, earning multiple accolades and participating in the 2000 WBCA High School All-America Game.
