Nilou Motamed

Nilou Motamed is an Iranian-born American magazine editor and television personality. She was born on April 19, 1971, in Iran. Motamed is best known for her role as a recurring judge on the popular television series Iron Chef. She has also made appearances on other TV shows. Motamed has an impressive background in the magazine industry, having served as the former Editor-in-Chief of Food & Wine magazine and Condé Nast's Epicurious. She began her career at Travel + Leisure as Associate Editor and worked her way up to Features Director & Senior Correspondent. Motamed is fluent in English, French, Spanish, and Persian, and holds dual degrees in Political Science and Philosophy from Binghamton University and the Sorbonne in Paris.
