Norman Lloyd Biography
Norman Nathan Lloyd (né Perlmutter; November 8, 1914 – May 11, 2021) was an American actor, producer, director, and centenarian known for his extensive career in entertainment. With a career spanning nearly a century, Lloyd worked in theatre, radio, television, and film. He began his acting journey in 1923 and went on to work with various influential groups, including the Federal Theatre Project's Living Newspaper unit, the Mercury Theatre, and the Group Theatre. Lloyd's notable collaboration with Alfred Hitchcock started with his portrayal of a Nazi agent in the film Saboteur (1942), followed by Spellbound (1945). He also produced Hitchcock's television series Alfred Hitchcock Presents. Norman Lloyd remains the longest-lived male actor from Classic Hollywood.
