Olin Ross Howland (February 10, 1886 – September 20, 1959) was an American film and theatre actor. Born in Denver, Colorado, Howland appeared on Broadway in musicals from 1909 to 1927, while occasionally performing in silent films. He later focused on films, appearing in nearly two hundred movies between 1918 and 1958. Howland often played eccentric and rural roles in Hollywood, becoming a personal favorite of David O. Selznick. Some of his notable film appearances include Janice Meredith (1924) with Marion Davies and Nothing Sacred (1937) as a strange luggage man. Despite never getting a leading role, Howland's theatre background and talent made him a valuable asset in the transition to sound films.
