Omar Evans (born September 1, 1976) is a former Canadian Football League defensive back. He was born in Silver Spring, Maryland. Evans played for various CFL teams including the Montreal Alouettes, Saskatchewan Roughriders, Calgary Stampeders, and Winnipeg Blue Bombers. In 2005, he was recognized as one of the top defensive players in the league, leading the Blue Bombers with 5 interceptions, two of which he returned for touchdowns. Evans attended Howard University, where he excelled in football. As a senior, he received All-MEAC first team honors, was named Howard's Defensive Player of the Year, and finished the season with 25 tackles and five interceptions.
