Pamela Stewart

Pamela Stewart is an American poet born in 1946 in Boston, Massachusetts. She earned a BA from Goddard College and an MFA from the University of Iowa. Stewart's poetry has been featured in publications such as Seneca Review and Calyx. In 1983, she married Ed Cothey, and they lived in Cornwall and Hawley, Massachusetts until their divorce in 2016. Some of Stewart's notable works include 'The St. Vlas Elegies' and 'Infrequent Mysteries.' She was also awarded a Guggenheim Fellowship in 1982. Stewart's poetry explores themes of nature, love, and the human experience, and her distinctive voice has made her a respected figure in the world of contemporary American poetry.
