Patrick George
Patrick George (28 July 1923 – 23 April 2016) was an English painter and educator. Best known for his landscapes and portraits, George taught at the Slade School of Fine Art in London for most of his career. Born in Wilmslow, Cheshire, on July 28, 1923, he was educated at The Downs School and Bryanston School. After studying at the Edinburgh College of Art and serving in the Royal Navy during World War II, George enrolled at the Camberwell School of Art. He later taught at the Nigerian College of Art in Zaria. George's contributions to the art world were notable, and his works can be found in collections such as Tate's.
