Patrick Hancock
Sir Patrick Francis Hancock (25 June 1914 – 1 February 1980) was a British diplomat who served as ambassador to Israel, Norway, and Italy. He was educated at Winchester College and Trinity College, Cambridge, and joined the Diplomatic Service in 1937. Throughout his career, Hancock held various positions in the Foreign Office and British embassies around the world. He was seconded to the Ministry of Economic Warfare and served as Private Secretary to the Minister, Hugh Dalton. In November 1948, Hancock was sent to the Brussels embassy. His diplomatic career spanned several decades, and he made significant contributions to international relations.
