Patrick Tully, also known as Father Patrick Tully or Fr. Packie Tully, was a prominent figure in Meath GAA circles. He is best known for his training of the Meath Gaelic football teams in 1949, 1954, and 1967, leading them to All Ireland Senior titles. Prior to the 1949 win, Meath had never won a Senior All Ireland Title. Tully was a player himself, representing Navan De La Salles and Seneschalstown GAA Clubs in Meath. He was also involved in organizing the 1968 Meath footballers' tour of Australia, which later led to the International Rules Series matches between Gaelic footballers and Australian rules footballers. Tully was ordained as a priest in 1942 and served in various parishes in the Meath diocese throughout his career.
