Paul Anthony

Paul Anthony (born 1955) is a Welsh senior executive who has held various positions within the international energy sector. Born in Wales, Anthony began his career in the UK electricity industry. He served as the Executive Vice President of British Gas Group from 2000 to 2002 and held executive positions with PowerGen during the UK privatisation process in the 1990s. Anthony also worked with investment house Doughty Hanson & Co and ran its investment in LM Glasfiber. He played a pivotal role as the founding CEO of New Zealand's Contact Energy from 1996 to 2000, leading the company through privatization. Anthony received a payout of NZ$6.6 million for his services.
