    Paul Robert Ash (February 11, 1891 - July 13, 1958) was a German orchestra leader, composer, vaudeville personality, and recording artist. Born in the German Empire, Ash emigrated to the United States at the age of one. He gained popularity for his hit songs such as 'Rememb'ring' (1924) with his Granada Orchestra, 'My Pet' (1928), and 'Shadows on the Swanee' (1933). Additionally, Ash wrote Kay Kyser's theme song, 'Thinking of You.' In 1928, he performed at the Paramount Theatre in New York City, alongside a young Ginger Rogers. Ash's contributions to the music industry have left a lasting impact on American culture.
