Paul Bocuse

Paul Bocuse (11 February 1926 – 20 January 2018) was a renowned French chef based in Lyon. He was a student of Eugénie Brazier and became one of the most prominent chefs associated with nouvelle cuisine, a culinary movement focused on fresh ingredients and innovative approaches to cooking. Bocuse's restaurants were known for their high quality and he made significant contributions to French gastronomy. Many notable chefs, including Eckart Witzigmann, were students of Bocuse. He was also credited with inspiring the creation of the Bocuse d'Or, a prestigious international culinary competition. Paul Bocuse's legacy continues to influence the world of cuisine.
