Paul Power Biography
Paul Power (born October 30, 1953) is an English retired professional footballer who played for Manchester City from 1975 to 1986. He excelled in both defence and midfield positions, making 447 appearances for the team and scoring 36 goals. In 1986, he transferred to Everton and played a crucial role in their First Division title win during the 1986-87 Football League season. Power earned one cap for the England 'B' team while at Manchester City. He was named player of the year for the team in the 1980–81 and 1984–85 seasons. Power led City out at Wembley three times but never won a match there. In the 100th FA Cup Final against Tottenham Hotspur, he scored in all rounds except the fifth round against Peterborough United and the Wembley game against Spurs.
