Paul Ritter Biography
Paul Ritter (20 December 1966 – 5 April 2021), born Simon Paul Adams, was an English actor known for his roles in films such as Son of Rambow (2007), Quantum of Solace (2008), Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince (2009), The Eagle (2011), and Operation Mincemeat (2021). He also appeared in popular television programmes including Friday Night Dinner (2011–2020), Vera, The Hollow Crown, The Last Kingdom, Chernobyl, Belgravia, and Resistance. Ritter was born in Gravesend, Kent, and attended Gravesend Grammar School and St John's College, Cambridge. He trained at the Deutsches Schauspielhaus in Hamburg before returning to the UK.
