Peggy Noonan Biography
Margaret Ellen Noonan, known as Peggy Noonan, is a weekly columnist for The Wall Street Journal and a contributor to NBC News and ABC News. Born on September 7, 1950, in Brooklyn, New York, Noonan served as a primary speechwriter and Special Assistant to President Ronald Reagan from 1984 to 1986. Since then, she has maintained a center-right leaning in her writings. Noonan has authored five New York Times bestsellers and was nominated for an Emmy Award for her work on America: A Tribute to Heroes. She is of Irish descent and graduated from Rutherford High School in New Jersey and Fairleigh Dickinson University. Prior to her career in journalism, Noonan worked as a daily CBS Radio commentary writer for Dan Rather at CBS News.
