Peter Banks Biography
Peter William Brockbanks, known professionally as Peter Banks, was a British guitarist, vocalist, songwriter, and producer. He was born on July 15, 1947, in Barnet, North London. Banks was the original guitarist in the rock band Yes and also played in bands like the Syn, Flash, and Empire. He has been described as 'the architect of progressive music.' Banks started his music career with the Nighthawks in 1963 and later joined the Devil's Disciples in 1964. Throughout his career, he showcased his talent on the guitar and contributed to the development of progressive music. Peter Banks passed away on March 7, 2013.
