Peter McCabe Biography
Peter McCabe (7 November 1945 – April 1998) was an English author and music journalist known for his work in various genres. He served as an editor at Rolling Stone, Oui magazine, and was the former editor-in-chief of Country Music magazine. McCabe gained attention for his article in the 28 February 1972 issue of New York magazine, where he alleged financial impropriety by Allen Klein, manager of the Beatles' Apple Corps organization, regarding the distribution of funds from George Harrison's The Concert for Bangladesh album. This led to a $150 million libel suit, which was later withdrawn. McCabe co-wrote the book 'Apple to the Core: The Unmaking of the Beatles' with Robert D. Schonfeld, which was published in 1972.
