Peter Schiff

Peter David Schiff (born March 23, 1963), nicknamed 'Dr. Doom', is an American stock broker, financial commentator, and radio personality. He is the CEO and chief global strategist of Euro Pacific Capital Inc., a broker-dealer based in Westport, Connecticut. Additionally, Schiff is involved in various roles in other financial services companies, including Euro Pacific Asset Management, Schiff Gold (formerly Euro Pacific Precious Metals), and Euro Pacific Bank. He gained recognition for accurately forecasting the 2008 financial crisis. Born to a middle-class Jewish family in New Haven, Connecticut, Schiff's father, Irwin, served in the US Army during World War II. Schiff credits his father for introducing him to the world of investing.
