Peter Singh

Peter Singh is a Canadian politician who currently serves as a Member of the Legislative Assembly (MLA) in the 30th Alberta Legislature. He was elected in the 2019 Alberta general election and represents the electoral district of Calgary-East as a member of the United Conservative Party (UCP). Born in the Fiji Islands, Singh has a background in owning and operating an automotive repair business. As an MLA, he has been an advocate for increased resources in seniors facilities and has opposed the carbon tax while pushing for a reduction in corporate tax. Singh is a member of several committees, including the Standing Committee on Public Accounts and the Standing Committee on Resource Stewardship.
