Peter Som

Peter Som (born 1970) is a Chinese American fashion designer known for his eponymous label. He started his career as an assistant designer under Bill Blass in 1998 and later founded his own line in 2001. Som's talent was recognized early on and he won the Parsons Gold Thimble Award while studying at the Parsons School of Design. Prior to starting his own label, he served as creative director for Bill Bass and worked as a creative consultant for Tommy Hilfiger. Som graduated from Connecticut College with a degree in art history and apprenticed with designers such as Michael Kors and Calvin Klein. Throughout his career, he has been known for his innovative designs and attention to detail.
