Phil Riesen Biography
Phil Riesen is a former Democratic member of the Utah State House of Representatives, representing the state's 36th house district from 2006 to 2010. Prior to his political career, Riesen had a successful stint as a versatile broadcaster, working at stations such as KIFI in Idaho Falls, Idaho, and KALL and KSL in Salt Lake City, Utah. He studied at the University of Oklahoma. After completing his term as a legislator, Riesen chose not to seek reelection. In 2012, he returned to broadcasting as a newsman on Salt Lake City-Ogden station KLO. Riesen's son, Rob, is also an accomplished northern Utah broadcaster.
