Philip Gordon Biography
Philip H. Gordon (born 1962) is an American diplomat and foreign policy professional. He is currently serving as Assistant to the President and National Security Advisor to the Vice President of the United States, Kamala Harris. Gordon has held various positions in his career, including Assistant Secretary of State for European and Eurasian Affairs (2009–2011) and Special Assistant to the President and White House Coordinator for the Middle East, North Africa, and the Persian Gulf Region (2013–2015) during the presidency of Barack Obama. He received his bachelor's degree from Ohio University in 1984 and holds a master's degree and a doctorate from Johns Hopkins University School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS).
