Philip Whitchurch Biography
Philip Whitchurch (born 30 January 1951) is an English stage, film, and television actor. He gained recognition for his role as Captain William Frederickson in the Sharpe series from 1994 to 1997, as well as for portraying Chief Inspector Philip Cato in The Bill between 1993 and 1995. Whitchurch also appeared as Inspector Twist on The Bill and played Tyler in My Hero from 2000 to 2006. His extensive television work includes appearances in popular shows such as Bergerac, Casualty, Midsomer Murders, Foyle's War, and The Vicar of Dibley. In addition, Whitchurch has narrated the well-known TV-am children's series The Shoe People.
