Phillip Reed Biography
Phillip Reed (born Milton LeRoy; March 25, 1908 – December 7, 1996) was an American actor. He gained fame for his portrayal of Steve Wilson in a series of four films (1947–1948) based on the Big Town radio series. Reed was a star athlete at Erasmus Hall High School in Brooklyn before pursuing a career in acting. After moving to Hollywood, his name was changed to Phillip Reed. Reed appeared in two Broadway plays and was often credited as Philip Reed in his television appearances, including the popular series Alfred Hitchcock Presents. He also had roles in soap operas such as Society Girl and David Harum. Reed's notable film appearances include the 1965 Elvis Presley musical film Harum Scarum.
