Phyllis Gordon (October 17, 1889 – October 16, 1964) was an American actress known for her appearances in 50 silent era and sound films between 1911 and 1941. Born in Suffolk, Virginia, Gordon had a colorful personal life, often seen walking a pet cheetah on a London shopping street and surprising restaurant-goers in Davenport, Iowa with a marmoset in her handbag. After spending her early years in a convent, Gordon worked various jobs including herding cattle in Oklahoma before pursuing a career in entertainment. She graduated from Lafayette College with a bachelor's degree in music and performed in vaudeville productions as a comedian and singer.
