Prabal Gurung

Prabal Gurung (born March 31, 1979) is a Nepalese-American fashion designer. Born in Singapore to Nepali parents, he was raised in Kathmandu, Nepal. Gurung attended St. Xavier's School in Jawalakhel and earned a bachelor's degree in hotel management from the National Council of Hotel Management, Catering Technology and Applied Nutrition. After moving to New Delhi, he attended the National Institute of Fashion Technology and held apprenticeships at various fashion and production houses, including working under Manish Arora. Gurung is known for his colorful designs and has gained international recognition for his work. He is currently based in New York City.
