Rachel Jacobs (October 3, 1975 – May 12, 2015) was an American businesswoman and social entrepreneur. She was the CEO of ApprenNet, a video-learning tech company, and had previously worked for Ascend Learning as the Vice President of Business Innovation. Jacobs was born and raised in Huntington Woods, Michigan, and attended Berkley High School. She graduated from Swarthmore College in 1997 and later obtained her MBA from Columbia Business School in 2002. Tragically, Jacobs was killed in the 2015 Philadelphia train derailment at the age of 39. She was a dedicated professional who made significant contributions to the field of educational technology.
