Rageh Omaar

Rageh Omaar (born July 19, 1967) is a Somali-born British journalist and writer. He gained recognition as a world affairs correspondent for the BBC, particularly for his coverage of Iraq. In 2006, Omaar joined Al Jazeera English, where he presented the documentary series Witness until 2010. He then launched The Rageh Omaar Report, a monthly investigative documentary focusing on international current affairs. In 2013, he joined ITV News as a special correspondent and presenter, covering a wide range of news stories and producing in-depth reports from the UK and abroad. Omaar was later promoted to International Affairs Editor and Deputy Newscaster of ITV News at Ten. He has occasionally presented the ITV show since September 2017.
